POSITION SUMMARY

The IS Project Manager ensures multiple projects within the department are aligned with business objectives, efficiently managed, and delivered on time and within budget. This role oversees the scope, budget, and schedules of both business and technology initiatives while driving process improvements and coordinating cross-functional teams. A key focus is supporting the execution of Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Plan to Manufacture (P2M) processes. The IS Project Manager works closely with systems like ERP, WMS, MES, PLM, and data platforms, managing tasks in Smartsheet and resolving blockers in collaboration with taskforces. In addition, this role keeps complex projects on track, manages risks, and helps teams adopt new systems and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties

Initiate and manage projects – Establish, resource and coordinate projects across the brewery. This involves creating detailed project plans, defining scope, schedules and budgets, allocating resources and setting up communication plans. Monitor progress, track budgets and timelines and ensure projects meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder coordination – Work closely with departmental leaders, IS staff, vendors and consultants to gather requirements, define objectives and align project deliverables with business needs. Maintain strong relationships and communicate status, risks and changes to stakeholders.

Plan and coordinate UAT – Work with systems analysts (SAs) and consultants to develop a UAT approach, test plan, and test scripts. Ensure adequate coverage of business requirements and assist with the execution of UAT scripts.

Develop enterprise project management tools and templates – Collaborate with the Program Manager and existing project managers to design and implement common tools, templates, dashboards and reporting structures that support consistent project planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource management. Ensure these tools integrate with the brewery’s chosen project management platform and PLM system and provide training to end users.

Facilitate UAT sessions – Schedule and conduct UAT sessions with end users, orient participants on testing procedures, and ensure issues are recorded. Track issues, the resolution of defects, manage retesting, and obtain sign-off from leadership before deployment.

Risk and issue management – Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies; maintain an issues list for each project. Continuously work on issue resolution and communicate updates to stakeholders. Escalate critical issues when necessary and ensure that lessons learned are captured for continuous improvement.

Identify process gaps – Conduct process mapping sessions and gap analyses to identify inefficiencies in current business processes. Collaborate with departments to design improved workflows and integrate them into the ERP and other information systems.

Drive continuous improvement – Maintain a backlog of process improvements and enhancements. Prioritize and manage improvement projects with executive leadership, coordinating with business and IS teams to implement changes. Monitor outcomes and adjust processes as necessary to maximize efficiency

Generate and distribute project reports – Produce status reports, dashboards and metrics for project performance, budgets and resource utilization. Present insights and recommendations to executives and ensure transparency.

Ensure documentation and compliance – Document project plans, templates, UAT results, issue logs, and lessons learned. Ensure that projects comply with regulatory standards relevant to food and beverage manufacturing (e.g., quality, safety and audit requirements).
