POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Information Systems (IS) leads and directs the company's information technology operations to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that support business objectives. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for IS infrastructure, applications, security, data governance, and enterprise systems.

The IS Director leads and develops a team of IS professionals, establishes and enforces IT policies and standards, manages budgets, and oversees the implementation and ongoing support of technology solutions, including the company's ERP platform (Hoptiverse). This position requires strong technical expertise, disciplined execution, and the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational priorities, budgets, and timelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CFO and Leadership Team on technology-enabled business transformation, with a strong emphasis on data, automation, and AI-driven insights.
  • Translate business priorities into a clear enterprise systems and data roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on measurable business impact (e.g., cost reduction, revenue growth, cycle time improvement).
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, and enhance decision quality through LLMs, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation.
  • Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring shared accountability for outcomes—not just system delivery.

Enterprise Systems & ERP Leadership (Hoptiverse)

  • Own the strategy, implementation, and evolution of the Hoptiverse ERP platform as the company’s core system of record.
  • Drive ERP as a business transformation initiative, ensuring alignment of processes, data structures, and operating models across functions.
  • Establish and enforce strong governance across data integrity, change management, scope control, and release management.
  • Ensure ERP delivers measurable business value through improved visibility, standardization, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead vendor and implementation partner performance with clear accountability for delivery, outcomes, and cost discipline.

Data, AI & Automation

  • Define and lead the company’s data strategy, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and actionable data across the enterprise.
  • Drive adoption of LLMs and agentic workflows to augment knowledge work, improve decision speed, and enable self-service analytics.
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to embed data into core processes (planning, forecasting, supply chain, commercial execution).
  • In partnership with Compliance, establish governance for AI usage, including data privacy, security, and responsible deployment standards.
  • Build internal capabilities to scale automation and AI use cases across functions.

Team Leadership & Operating Model

  • Build and lead a high-performing, business-oriented technology team with capabilities spanning ERP, data, analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Redefine roles, skills, and ways of working to support a data-first and AI-enabled organization.
  • Establish clear priorities, accountability, and performance management aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, and pragmatic innovation.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Own the technology budget with a focus on ROI, cost transparency, and value realization.
  • Evaluate and manage vendors and partners to ensure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Prioritize investments that deliver measurable business outcomes rather than incremental technical improvements.

Technology Operations & Delivery

  • Lead all technology operations, including applications, infrastructure, and end-user services, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Shift the function toward product and platform thinking, with clear ownership, SLAs, and performance metrics tied to business outcomes.
  • Ensure systems and architecture support current and future needs, including eCommerce, digital initiatives, and multi-site operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the technology stack to reduce complexity and technical debt.
