POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Supervisor develops onsite security programs and oversees both onsite security staff and contracted security guards to ensure the safety and protection of our guests, employees and company property.  Reporting to the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Manager, this role is responsible for all site security measures including access control, loss prevention programs, emergency response, and drives security awareness throughout the facility. This role follows and enforces company policy and assists with investigations as needed. The Security Supervisor also serves as a liaison between the facility and local law enforcement, fire personnel, and first responders.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

Essential Duties

Responsible for managing the in-house Security team to ensure the protection of property, protection of our product and protection of people.

 

Measure emergency services and security performance by identifying key measures of progress, creating actionable reporting metrics, and implementing plans to improve efficiency and impact of security and emergency response.

 

Manages training for the Security Officers based on training modules from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Helps to create and deliver training material to security officers and employees. Assist with development of company-wide training when needed.

 

Establish emergency services and security work processes that are aligned with the business strategy, ensuring activities are rooted in company values.

 

Implement Company Workplace Violence Prevention and Response Plans to ensure all employees are trained in reporting expectations.

 

Responsible for coordinating and managing the third-party security vendor, law enforcement, fire and first responder personnel during special events or concerts

 

Develops and manages security policies, programs, procedures, or applicable government requirements

 

Establish clear expectations for ERT and contract security staff. Foster continuous development of leadership and technical skill, and create a learning environment that encourages efficient and effective processes.

 

Conducts and supports internal investigations and threat assessments (threat assessment team)

 

Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of ABC/ALE regulations.

 

Serves as liaison with law enforcement, fire, alcohol law enforcement and other agencies as it relates to security or investigations at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

 

Leads the site emergency response team and assists in emergency management, business continuity and contingency planning.

 

Work with affected departments to ensure emergency response and security policies, programs, and processes meet or exceed regulatory and company expectations.

 

Additional duties as assigned.

A recognized emergency response and/or security certification is preferred
